ABOUT THE OWNERS
Together brothers David and Jon Grabham have worked hard to build G Family Construction, G Design, G Landscape, and G Electric. The brothers were born into the construction industry, right here in Marin County. With over 50 years of combined experience, David and Jon have building and designing in their blood!
David Grabham

David Grabham is the visionary behind G Design. With a strong passion for clean design, David works tirelessly to breathe new life into old spaces and drafts beautiful new buildings. David's background is in building, making him a designer that not only thinks about how things look, but also how they will work structurally while staying within budget.

What is your favorite part of working for our company or in the Design/Build field? Do you have a certain aesthetic you appreciate most?
I love the team environment and the ability to collaborate with other trades/designers in our office at any time. We get the opportunity to bounce ideas off of each other and receive feedback from people who have the same goals and drive for improving and progressing in our fields.
Growing up I lived in/helped renovate a craftsmen style shingled house. We moved in when I was 5 and spent the next 15 years turning it into a beautiful home. That style house has always stuck in my mind as “home”. That said, I also enjoy the more simplistic modern style that has become very popular in the last 10 years with clean, simple lines and shaker style square sticking around the windows and doors. A combination of the two would probably be my ideal aesthetic.
What is your goal when working on a project?
A successful build! Open and continuous communication between all parties involved; managing the expectations of my clients and being their advocate in all things; realizing my clients vision and accomplishing it in a professional and positive manor, and having a good time and interacting with my clients in a stress free environment.
What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies or extracurricular skills?
Believe it or not I BUILD for fun!! By far my most enjoyable and rewarding pastime. If you saw me on a Sunday (my 1 day off) with some free time, you would find me working on my own house completing an endless list of projects. Getting my hands dirty and seeing something neglected turn into something beautiful is so rewarding.
During those rainy weekends that I have no choice but to go and play, you can find me in the mountains of South Lake Tahoe snowboarding with my fellow coworkers.
Are you a big sports fan? What teams do you love?
Growing up, our TV was rarely used (not by choice!) and so I never got the opportunity to invest much interest into sports. Regardless of that fact, I will be a Niners fan till the day I die!!! Anything else you want your clients and coworkers to know about you?
I am thankful to have the opportunity to work with driven, hard working, amazing coworkers and am grateful to have so many clients who have become part of our family over the years!
